Adding Services: Publish the Add Services Catalog Action – MAS Vendor Training

How to Successfully Publish Your GSA Add Services Catalog Action in FCP and eMod

Welcome to the final steps of adding services through the FAS Catalog Platform (FCP). Once your modification is submitted in eMod, the process moves swiftly through crucial review and publishing stages necessary for your offerings to become visible on GSA Advantage. Understanding the workflow helps ensure a smooth transition from submission to publication.

Navigating the Review Process

After submitting the modification in eMod, the Add Services action status immediately updates to Pending CS/CO Review. The Contracting Specialist (CS) or Contracting Officer (CO) reviews the action and has three primary options:

  1. Approved: The action proceeds to the signing phase.
  2. Return for edits: The vendor must make necessary changes to the Services Plus File and resubmit the action back into eMod. It is extremely important to wait for the file to process before resubmitting in eMod; failure to do so can cause the FCP action to go into an error status.
  3. Rejected: This unfortunately ends the entire workflow. If your action is rejected, you must restart the Add Services action entirely by initiating a new applicable modification in eMod and a new services catalog action in FCP.

Vendor and CO Signatures

Once the modification is approved by the CS/CO, the vendor must sign the modification in eMod. You can navigate back to eMod, view the Signed Modifications section, and step through the signing process.

After the vendor completes this step, the Contracting Officer (CO) signs the modification. Following the CO’s signature, the FCP action status updates to Pending Publishing on Advantage.

Publishing Your Price List to GSA Advantage

Once the action is set to Pending Publishing on Advantage, the system begins submitting the action to GSA Advantage to publish the new Price List. This background process typically takes about an hour to complete.

When the Services action is successfully published to Advantage, several key things happen automatically:

  • The FCP action status updates to Published on Advantage.
  • The authorized negotiators receive an email notification indicating that the action is published.
  • The Currently Approved Catalog File automatically regenerates to reflect the new information submitted in the approved Services action.

Verifying the New Price List

The new Price List is now available for viewing and downloading. It is accessible on the GSA Advantage environment, e-Library, and eBuy, where it can be downloaded as an Excel file.

To view your newly published services on Advantage, you can press the Price List button. The Price List Generation Date updates to reflect the exact time the new Price List was published.

The Price List tab provides a consolidated list of all services plus offerings that have been awarded to the catalog. This comprehensive list is sorted by the Unique Catalog Item ID.
